Withdraw from CASPR

2024 CASPR

Before You Withdraw

Only tracks that are no longer offering positions in 2024 should withdraw from CASPR.

No Applicants to Rank: If a track has positions available to begin in 2024 that you would like to fill but has no acceptable applicants to rank, you should certify a Rank Order List with no ranks in the NMS Match System. Do not withdraw the track. The track will remain active in CASPR, and will be included in the Post-Match Process.

Implications of Withdrawing

A withdrawn track will not be included in the matching process, will not be matched with any applicants. Furthermore, a track that is withdrawn for MPII will not be included on the List of Participating Programs for the Post-Match Process.

If a track is withdrawn, it will not be carried over automatically to the Post-Match Process.

If you withdraw a track, any rankings of applicants that may have been submitted for the track will not be used in the matching process. Tracks that certify a Rank Order List and do not withdraw by the Rank Order List deadline will be included in the matching process and will be obliged to accept the results.

    • The name and Code Number of the track
    • The total number of positions to be offered by the track in MPII
    • The reason why the reinstatement of the track for MPII is required

The request must be sent to CASPR as a scanned email attachment to caspr@natmatch.com and must be received at CASPR as soon as possible, and no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on March 11, 2024.

  • The track was withdrawn during MPII

To reinstate the track in the Match:

    • Log in to the NMS Match System for the track
