If you cannot remember the answers to your security questions, please contact CASPR for assistance.

Please Note: You will need your password to certify your Rank Order List. It is advised that you use a password you can remember, rather than a randomly generated password that is saved in your browser.

Manage Your Account, Profile and Status Information

  • Email, Password, Security Questions

To change your email, timezone, password and security questions in the Account section:

    • Select Account from the menu.
    • Select the Edit button next to the information you want to change.
    • Update information, and press the Save button.

You can update your Account information prior to the Match Rank Order List deadline. Applicants who are eligible to participate in MPII (i.e., registered but not matched in Match) will again be able to update their information if necessary after the system re-opens for MPII, until the MPII Rank Order List deadline.

Ensure the email address used for your account is valid as all NMS Match System communications, including your Match result, will be sent to that email address.

Detailed instructions about the content to be entered into each field can be found by pressing the tooltip icon (?) next to the field name.

  • Personal Information

You can change your name, mailing address, telephone number(s), and college information in the Profile section, which is accessed by selecting the appropriate option from the menu.

The last day you can update your Profile information for Match is February 16, 2024. Applicants who are eligible to participate in MPII (i.e., registered but not matched in Match) will again be able to update their information if necessary after the system re-opens for MPII, until the MPII Rank Order List deadline.

    To change your profile information

    • Select Profile from the menu.
    • Select the Edit button next to the information you want to change.
    • Update information, and press the Save button.

Detailed instructions about the content to be entered into each field can be found by pressing the tooltip icon (?) next to the field name.

  • Time Zone

The time zone setting applies to your Interview Calendar and Event List. By default, the NMS Match System assigns you a time zone of Central Time as most applicants attend CRIP and CRIP is held in Frisco, TX which is in the Central Time zone.

You should update the time zone to correspond to the location of where you will be during the interview event(s). If your time zone differs from the time zone of the program where you are interviewing, the system will show the event time in both your time zone and the program's time zone. This ensures accurate scheduling and avoids any confusion regarding event timings.

    • Select Account from the menu
    • Select the Edit button
      Edit Time Zone

    • Choose the time zone where you will be during the interview (e.g., Central Time if you are attending CRIP)
    • Select the Save button
  • Participation Status - Withdraw or Reinstate

The Status section shows your participation status in CASPR. All registered applicants who intend to submit a Rank Order List for CASPR should have a status of Active.

If you do not intend to submit a Rank Order List you must withdraw from CASPR. If you withdraw, but later decide to submit a Rank Order List for CASPR, you should reinstate yourself to participate in CASPR prior to the Rank Order List deadline.

    To withdraw from CASPR:

    • Select the Edit button in the Status section of the Dashboard.
    • Select a reason for withdrawing.
    • Enter your password and press Submit.
    assign couple match

    To reinstate yourself in CASPR:

    • Select the Edit button in the Status section of the Dashboard
    • Follow the instructions provided on the screen to complete the reinstatement process.

Note: If you withdraw from CASPR prior to the Match Rank Order List deadline, you will be automatically withdrawn from MPII and will not need to withdraw again when the system opens for MPII. You may reinstate yourself for MPII if you wish to submit a Rank Order List for MPII.

  • Change Your Couple Status

All registered applicants start with a Couple Status of INDIVIDUAL. If you want to participate in CASPR as part of a couple, you must change your Couple Status to COUPLED by identifying your partner.

    • Select the Edit button in the Couple Status section of the Dashboard
    • Enter your partner's CASPR Code Number and press Submit
    • Once submitted you will be asked to confirm that you wish to be partnered with the applicant registered with CASPR Code Number that you have entered.

Your Couple Status will change to PENDING until your partner identifies you as their partner. Once your partner identifies you as their partner, your Couple Status will change to COUPLED.

If your partner does not identify you as their partner, your rankings will be treated as if you are an individual applicant in CASPR.

Note: If you participate in the Match as a member of a couple and you do not obtain a position, your Couple Status will be changed back automatically to INDIVIDUAL for MPII. If you wish to participate in MPII as a member of a couple, you will have to change your Couple Status for MPII in the NMS Match System, after the system opens for MPII and prior to submitting your Rank Order List.
