Interview Scheduling User Guide

1

Receive Interview Invitation

Starting at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 4, 2023, programs may invite you to an interview. No interview invitations may be sent before this time, and many invitations will be sent after this date. You may receive invitations from multiple programs, and each program may invite you to one or more than one type of interview. You will receive the interview invitation by email. You can also log in to the NMS Match System to view the interview invitation. It is advised that all CASPR emails and/or IPs are included on your Allow-List to ensure you receive the emails.

Schedule Interview

Scheduling Interviews with COTH Programs

Interview events can be booked as soon as you receive the invitation. The interview invitation email provides a unique scheduling link where you can book an available interview time for that program. Alternatively, you can log in to the NMS Match System to view your interview invitations and book your interview times.

You can only book one timeslot for each interview type to which you have been invited by a program. The system will not let you book two different interviews at the same time, nor interviews that are within 15 minutes of another interview you have already booked.

The system will default your timezone for viewing interview events to Central Time as most programs interview at CRIP and the CRIP event will be held in the Central timezone. You can update the timezone for viewing interview events from Account page in the NMS Match System.

If you need to change a previously booked interview time, you can log in to the NMS Match System and rebook yourself into another available timeslot for the program. Changes or modifications cannot be made on or after the lockout date.

Scheduling Interviews with non-COTH Programs

Programs that are not COTH members schedule their interviews with applicants directly, not via the NMS Match System. Non-COTH programs do not have access to the online interview scheduling feature in the NMS Match System.

Interview with Programs

Programs participating in CRIP will conduct their interviews at the on-site event in Frisco, TX from January 11 - 16, 2024. Applicants and programs attending CRIP will receive their detailed on-site CRIP schedule closer to the event.

Programs that are not participating in CRIP may not conduct interviews before January 17, 2024.

Communication Guidelines

You may freely discuss any matter with a program and both you and the program may express a high level of interest in each other.

An applicant may voluntarily inform a program that they intend to rank the program. Similarly, a program may voluntarily inform an applicant that it intends to rank the applicant. However, neither the applicant nor the program may ask or prompt the other side for this information.

Furthermore, neither applicants nor programs may solicit or disclose information about rank positioning. For example, it is prohibited to make statements like "I will rank you first" or "You are at the top of my list".
