Application Overview
Access
You must be registered for CASPR and use the NMS Match System to prepare and send applications to programs.
Timing
Each program sets its own requirements and application deadline date. The default application deadline date for programs participating in CASPR is October 30, 2024; however, some programs may choose to extend their deadline. Once the application deadline has passed for a program, you are not able to send an application to the program.
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the application deadline date specified by the program. You are strongly encouraged to submit your applications well before the deadline, to ensure you have time to address any unexpected issues that may arise.
In order to submit your applications, you will need to have passed the APMLE Part I examination. AACPM will obtain your Part I scores directly from APMLE - once in September and once in October - and will upload passing results directly to the NMS Match System. Once a passing result has been uploaded for you, the National Board Score section of your application will be marked as complete and you can begin submitting your applications to programs. You will be notified by email when your passing result has been uploaded to the NMS Match System.
Registered applicants who do not obtain a position in the Match will be able to use the NMS Match System starting on March 10, 2025 to submit applications to programs with positions available for MPII. The default application deadline date for programs participating in MPII is March 12, 2025; however, some programs may choose to extend their deadline. Applications must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the application deadline date specified by the program. Once the application deadline has passed for a program, you are not able to send an application to the program. No applications for MPII can be submitted after 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on March 17, 2025.

Prepare Your Application Materials
Gather Your Applicant Information
Some of your personal information from your CASPR registration is prepopulated into your application. Other information that is required to complete your application includes:
- Academic History
- Professional Accomplishments
- Board Scores (uploaded by AACPM directly)
Compose a Personal Statement
A Personal Statement and CV must be included in each application you submit. You should start working on those documents as soon as possible and upload them to the NMS Match System in PDF format when they are complete.
You can customize your Personal Statement for each program by preparing and uploading multiple Personal Statements to the NMS Match System. Be sure to give each document a unique and descriptive name so that you know which Personal Statement to include with each application when you assemble your application.
Reach Out To Your Reference Letter Writers
Each application must have at least 3 letters of reference. Requests for individual reference letters are made using the NMS Match System, and your references will upload their letters directly to NMS Match System.
Prepare any Supplemental Material
Check with each program as soon as possible regarding its application requirements. If a program requires additional information included as part of its application, you can prepare this information and upload it to the system as a Supplemental Material PDF document.
Consult the CASPR Program Directory to determine if the programs where you are applying require supplemental documents or fees, and the deadline to submit them.
School Material
Your college will need to provide an official transcript, GPA, class rank, Clinicals, and Dean's Letter (if applicable) on your behalf. This material will be included in each application you submit to programs.

Submit Applications
Your CASPR Applicant Fee provides you with 12 credits to send applications to programs. Each credit allows you to send one application to one program, regardless of the number of tracks offered by that program. If a program offers more than one track, you can specify the tracks you are interested in when you submit your application.
If you want to send applications to more programs than you have credits, you will have to pay an additional fee of $15 USD per application.
You cannot submit applications until AACPM uploads into CASPR a passing APMLE Part I result for you. However, you can submit your applications before your letters of reference or college material are received.
It is your responsibility to monitor the status of any outstanding college material and reference letters and ensure they are submitted in the NMS Match System by the program's deadline.
