Any medical physics residency offering positions that start training between June 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018 may participate in the MedPhys Match. Residencies do not need to be accredited by CAMPEP in order to participate in the MedPhys Match.
AAPM and SDAMPP encourage all medical physics residency programs that start training on or around July 1 to participate, although programs recruiting for start dates later in the year may also want to participate and seek residents from the larger applicant pool.
To register for the Match, the program must agree to abide by the Schedule of Dates of the MedPhys Match, the Residency Agreement, and the Rules of the Match.
Program Directors of medical physics residencies have been sent a registration e-mail with a personalized link and instructions for registering their residency to participate in the 2018 Match.
If you have not received a personalized e-mail to register your residency for the MedPhys Match by August 25, 2017, please contact NMS.
The registration process should be completed by the Program Director and can be started by clicking on the personalized link in the e-mail sent by NMS.
The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the Society of Directors of Academic Medical Physics Programs (SDAMPP) partially subsidize the cost of the MedPhys Match. However, each residency must also pay a fee to register for the 2018 MedPhys Match, as described in the registration information sent to Program Directors.
After You Register
After the online registration process is complete, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail which will include the Code Number(s) and program description(s) for each program/track registered for the Match. You should provide the program Code Number(s) to each of your applicants as the Code Number(s) uniquely identify your program(s) in the Match.
Updating Your Residency and Program Information
Once the online registration process is complete, you can log in to the NMS Match System to update your residency or program information. This includes modifying the number of positions offered by a program in the Match, adding an additional program to your residency, withdrawing a program from the Match if you no longer intend to offer any positions in the program, or modifying your contact information.
