To be eligible to participate in ORMatch a program must be affiliated with an ACOE accredited school or college of optometry. Furthermore, programs must be accredited by the ACOE to register for and participate in ORMatch, except as noted in the Eligibility Requirements.
Optometry fellowship positions will not be offered through ORMatch. Positions offered exclusively to commissioned officers of the Department of Defense are exempt from participating in ORMatch.
The Program Coordinator of each residency site is sent a personalized registration e-mail to register their residency site for the 2018 Match. The e-mail includes a personalized link and instructions for registering their residency site to participate in ORMatch.
If you have not received a personalized e-mail to register your residency site for ORMatch by August 15, 2017, please contact NMS.
The registration process should be completed by the Program Coordinator and can be started by clicking on the personalized link in the e-mail sent by NMS.
After You Register
Once the online registration process is complete, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail which will include the Code Number(s) and program description(s) for each program registered for the Match. You should provide the program Code Number(s) to each of your applicants as the Code Number(s) uniquely identify your program(s) in the Match.
Updating Your Residency Site and Program Information
Once the online registration process is complete, you can log in to the NMS Match System to update your residency site or program information. This includes modifying the number of positions offered by a program in the Match, adding an additional program to your residency site, withdrawing a program from the Match if you no longer intend to offer any positions in the program, or modifying your contact information.
