To be eligible to participate in ORMatch, a residency site must be affiliated with an ACOE accredited school or college of optometry. Residency Sites must also be accredited by the ACOE to register for and participate in ORMatch, except as noted in the Eligibility Requirements.
Optometry fellowship positions are be offered through ORMatch. Positions offered exclusively to commissioned officers of the Department of Defense are exempt from participating in ORMatch.
The Program Coordinator of each eligible residency site is sent an email from ORMatch with a personalized link and instructions for registering their residency site. If you have not received a registration email by August 15, 2021, please contact NMS.
ORMatch is a service sponsored by ASCO. Residency Sites do not pay fees to register for or use ORMatch.
Consult the Registration Guide for step-by-step instructions for registering for ORMatch.
After You Register
After the online registration process is complete, you will receive a confirmation by email which will include the Code Number and program description for each program you registered for ORMatch. You should provide the Code Number for each program to your applicants as the Code Number uniquely identifies your program in the Match.
Updating Your Residency Site and Program Information
Once your residency site is registered, you can log into the NMS Match System to update your residency site or program information. This includes modifying the number of positions offered by a program, adding an additional program to your residency site, withdrawing a program from if you no longer intend to offer any positions in the program, or modifying your contact information.
