The 2019 ASHP Match

I will be unavailable to receive e-mails the day results are released.

If you are unable to receive the e-mail containing your residency's results or access your Match results online on the Match Results Release Date, you can send to NMS by e-mail or fax a written request, on residency letterhead and signed by the Program Director, to e-mail the residency's results to an alternate contact.

The alternate contact will receive an e-mail with the Match results. NMS will send the result to only one e-mail address for each residency.

Please Note:The alternate e-mail will not replace the e-mail currently on file in the NMS Match System. All account and residency contact information will remain the same.

How do I remove or add positions after the Match?

  • After Phase I

Programs with unfilled positions in Phase I of the Match will offer those positions to unmatched applicants in Phase II of the Match. New programs or positions that receive funding after Phase I of the Match may be added into Phase II of the Match.

Programs participating in Phase II can log in to the NMS Match System to update the number of positions to be offered in Phase II.

  • After Phase II

After Phase II of the Match is completed, a list of programs that did not fill all their positions in the Match is made available to applicants who are still seeking positions.

Programs must log in to the NMS Match System in order to update the information shown on the List of Programs with Available Positions.

    Remove Positions

    • Log in to the NMS Match System
    • Select the Edit button in the Positions Available in Post-Match section of the Program Dashboard
    • Use the drop-down menu to select the number of positions still available in your program

If you set the number of positions available to zero, the program will be removed from the list that is provided to unmatched applicants.

    Add Positions

    • Log in to the NMS Match System
    • Select the Edit button in the Positions Available in Post-Match section of the Program Dashboard
    • Use the drop-down menu to select the number of positions available in your program

If the number of positions available is more than zero, the program will be included on the list that is provided to unmatched applicants.
