Program Registration is Open for the 2027 Dental Match

Program Directors of each accredited AEGD, ANES, GPR, OMS, ORTHO, PED, PERIO, and PROS residency were emailed a personalized registration link. The registration process should be completed by the Program Director using the link provided in that email.

If your residency did not receive the registration email, please contact NMS for assistance.

A list of participating programs will be posted on the Dental Match website by August 1, 2026. Programs that have not yet registered are encouraged to do so before this date to ensure they appear on the list when it is made available to applicants.

Program registration opens May 6, 2026

Program registration for the 2027 Match will open on May 6, 2026.

Program Directors of each accredited AEGD, ANES, GPR, OMS, ORTHO, PED, PERIO, and PROS residency will be emailed a personalized link and instructions to register their residency on May 6, 2026. If your residency does not receive a registration email by May 8, 2026, please contact NMS for assistance.

Applicant registration for the 2027 Match will open on May 13, 2026. Information and instructions for applicants interested in participating in the Dental Match are available on the Applicant Registration page.

Timeline Change for US GPR and AEGD Programs

In the 2027 Dental Match cycle, GPR and AEGD programs will participate in Phase I of the Match (results released in November). In previous cycles, they participated in Phase II.

This change follows two years of review by NMS and the Dental Match Steering Committee, including a national survey of GPR and AEGD programs. It is responsive to feedback from GPR and AEGD programs seeking:

• A longer Post-Match period to fill positions after the Match, and
• Better alignment with non-Match programs that recruit earlier.
