Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program for Positions Beginning in 2021


Match Results

You must log into the NMS Match System to access your Match result. Applicants who are not matched will also have access to the Post-Match List of Programs with Available Positions.

If you matched to a position, you should contact the program to acknowledge the Match result as soon as possible after 12:00 p.m. noon ET on Match Results Day. Programs must send letters of confirmation of the Match results to matched applicants within 10 days of the release of Match results. Matched applicants must sign and return the letters of confirmation within 30 days of the release of Match results.

If you did not match, you may participate in the Post-Match Process for any available positions.

Although NMS makes every effort to provide you with your Match result on Match Results Day, failure to receive your result on that day does not affect your obligation to the program to which you are matched.

Post-Match Process

Unmatched applicants are permitted to seek positions and programs are permitted to fill positions that remain available independently of the Match. Unmatched applicants should contact programs directly regarding eligibility, application, and admission requirements.

Registered applicants who did not obtain a position can log into the NMS Match System to access the List of Programs with Available Positions. This list provides the number of positions available and the contact information for each program. Programs may update the information on the list as positions fill or new positions become available.

Programs will have access to information on applicants who submitted Rank Order Lists but were not matched.

Applicants who did not register for the Match but now want to access to the List Programs with Available Positions must contact NMS to request access and pay a $95 USD access fee.
