Applicant Registration and Applications Open: Match registration and the Application Service open for applicants. A list of programs participating in the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match will be available on this website. Prior to registering, applicants should review the information in the Applicant Registration section of this website. Applicants cannot use the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match Application Service until they have registered for the Breast Match. Instructions for registering and for using the Application Service are provided on this website. |

Application Deadline: Final date for submission of applications to programs participating in the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match. No registrations or applications can be submitted after 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on this date. |
| February 3, 2025 |
Interview Notification: Beginning on this date, programs may invite applicants to interview for positions being offered in the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match. |
| February 27, 2025 - June 27, 2025 | Interviews: Programs may conduct interviews with applicants during this period. No interviews may be conducted prior to February 27 or after June 27, 2025. |
| June 9, 2025 |
Rankings Open: Applicants and programs may begin to submit Rank Order Lists for the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match using the NMS Match System. |
| July 7, 2025 |
Rank Order List Deadline: Applicant and program Rank Order Lists must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. No Rank Order Lists or withdrawals can be submitted in the NMS Match System after this deadline. |
| July 14, 2025 |
Match Results Day: Results of the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match are released to applicants and Program Directors. The Post-Match Process begins at 12:00 p.m. noon Eastern Time. |
| July 14, 2025 - August 13, 2025 | Program Directors send letters of confirmation of the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match results to matched applicants within 10 working days of the release of the Match results. Applicants must sign and return the letters of confirmation within 30 days of the release of the Match results. If a program accepts an unmatched applicant during the Post-Match Process, the program must notify the Breast Surgical Oncology Training Committee in writing (via fellowship@surgonc.org) within 30 days of the acceptance of the unmatched applicant. It is the responsibility of the Program Director to notify the Training Committee of any fellow taken outside of the Match or of any changes in the status of a matched fellow. |
