Registration & Fees

  • When is the registration deadline?

It is recommended that you register your program to participate in the SSO Breast Match by December 18, 2023, although registrations can be accepted after that date. You should register as soon as possible so your program can be added to the List of Participating Programs and applicants will know that your program is participating in the SSO Breast Match.

Your program will not be able to obtain applications from the Application Service until it is registered for the SSO Breast Match.

The final deadline for programs to register to participate in SSO Breast Match is January 19, 2024. However, the deadline for all applicants to submit their applications to programs is also January 19, 2024. Therefore, you should ensure your program is registered well before the application deadline, so that your program has enough time to collect applications.

Account & Login

  • What login credentials do I use?

To log into the NMS Match System, you must use the email and password previously established for your program in the NMS Match System (e.g., when you registered your program for the 2024 SSO Breast Match).

  • What do I need to do as a new Program Director?

For programs already registered to participate in the SSO Breast Match:

You will need to obtain access to the NMS Match System for your program. If you can obtain the NMS Match System login credentials from the previous Program Director, you should log into the NMS Match System using those login credentials and update the Account and Profile information for your program.

If you cannot obtain the login credentials from the previous Program Director, please contact NMS. You will have to submit a signed, written request on program letterhead notifying NMS of the change in Program Director and asking for the login credentials to be reset. The letter can be scanned or photographed and sent as an email attachment to ssobreast@natmatch.com.

Important Notices for Adding New Tracks

    • You may need to modify the number of positions offered in your previously existing track(s) to ensure your program is offering its full SSO-approved complement
    • The description of each track must include additional information that will make it unique and clearly distinguished from any other track offered by your program (e.g., location, research focus, etc.)
    • Each track must offer at least one position
    • The new track will be assigned a Match Code Number automatically by the NMS Match System

Withdraw

  • What are the implications of withdrawing?

A withdrawn track will not receive applications, will not be included in the matching process, will not be matched with any applicants, and will not be included on the list of programs with available positions that is posted for the Post-Match Process. Any rankings that may have been submitted for the track will not be used in the Match.

Tracks that certify a Rank Order List and do not withdraw by the Rank Order List deadline will be included in the Match and will be obligated to accept the SSO Breast Match results.
