What are the implications of withdrawing from the Match?
When you withdraw, you must indicate which Phase(s) of the Match you are withdrawing from.
If you withdraw from either Phase of the Match, you will not be matched to a position in that Phase of the Match. Any rankings of programs you may have submitted for that Phase of the Match will not be used in the Match.
Withdrawn applicants are permitted to seek positions after each Phase of the Match. Applicants who withdraw from Phase I of the Match will be permitted to participate in Phase II of the Match. Applicants who withdraw from Phase II of the Match and who have not obtained an internship position will be permitted to participate in the Post-Match Vacancy Service operated by APPIC after the results of Phase II of the Match are released.
