for Positions Beginning in 2017

List of Participating Programs

This List of Participating Programs shows the optometry residency programs that are participating in ORMatch for positions beginning in 2017. This List is updated regularly, whenever information about programs participating in ORMatch changes. Applicants are encouraged to consult this List for the most current information on program offerings and Code Numbers prior to submitting applications and finalizing their Rank Order Lists for ORMatch.

An overall list of programs participating in ORMatch can be selected for display by state. Programs are listed alphabetically by state and city within state, and then alphabetically by residency site name within city.

Programs can also be selected for display by program type. The ASCO Residency Affairs Committee has recommended 11 titles for optometric residencies that reflect a primary focus for the clinical subject area. Some programs choose to focus on more than one area. Programs belonging to a specific program type can be displayed by selecting the desired program type from the drop-down lists below, and then clicking the SUBMIT button. Programs with more than one area of focus will be displayed in the lists of all program types that apply. Programs are listed alphabetically by state and city within state, and then alphabetically by residency site name within city.

Program Code Numbers

Applicants participating in ORMatch should use the 5-digit program Code Numbers shown in this List to identify each program when submitting applications and Rank Order Lists. Only programs that are participating in ORMatch can receive applications from the ORMatch application service and be included on an applicant's Rank Order List. If an applicant wishes to apply to or rank a program that does not appear in this List, the applicant should contact the program coordinator to determine if the program is participating in ORMatch, and to obtain the Code Number for the program.

To obtain further information on any program in this List, or to clarify which Code Number to use for any program, the applicant should contact the residency's program coordinator directly.
