ORMatch

  • What is ORMatch?

The Optometry Residency Match (ORMatch) is an Application Service and Matching Program that provides an orderly process to help applicants obtain positions of their choice, and to help programs obtain applicants of their choice.

  • What information does ORMatch provide to Directors of Residencies?

ORMatch provides tools to help Directors of Residencies monitor and oversee the optometry resident recruitment process at their school/college. Directors of Residencies will have access to the following information in the NMS Match System:

    • A list of applicants and access to individual applications submitted to each program affiliated with their school/college
    • A list of applicants from their school/college who have registered to participate in ORMatch
    • ORMatch results for each program affiliated with or sponsored by their school/college, and for each applicant that graduated from their school/college
    • Access to information on unmatched applicants and programs with available positions in the Post-Match Process

  • How do I access the NMS Match System?

Log in credentials for the NMS Match System will be provided to Directors of Residencies by October 4, 2023. If it is after that date and you have not received an email from ORMatch with your log in credentials, please contact NMS.
