  • When is the registration deadline?

It is recommended that you register your residency to participate in the MedPhys Match by September 15, 2023, although registrations can be accepted after that date.

Registrations can be accepted until the Rank Order List deadline, although you should register much earlier than that so you have enough time to receive and evaluate applications, conduct interviews, and submit your Rank Order List.

Account & Login

  • What login credentials do I use?

To log into the NMS Match System, you must use the email and password previously established for your residency in the NMS Match System (e.g., when you registered your residency for the MedPhys Match).

Account information is not carried over from previous years. Each Program Director will need to set up a new account in the NMS Match System each year.

  • What do I need to do as a new Program Director?

For residencies registered for the MedPhys Match:

You will need to obtain access to the NMS Match System for your residency. If you can obtain the NMS Match System login credentials from the previous Program Director, you should log into the NMS Match System using those login credentials and update the Program Director name and contact information for your residency in the Account and Profile sections of the system.

If you cannot obtain the login credentials from the previous Program Director, send an email to medphys@natmatch.com notifying NMS of the change in Program Director and asking for the login credentials to be reset. The request must be in a signed, written letter on residency letterhead with the following information:

    • Name of residency
    • Name of new Program Director
    • Email address of new Program Director

For residencies not yet registered for the MedPhys Match:

    • Name of residency
    • Name of new Program Director

    • Each new program must offer at least one position
    • The new program will be assigned a Match Code Number automatically by the NMS Match System

Withdraw

  • What are the implications of withdrawing?

A withdrawn program will not be included in the matching process, will not be matched with any applicants, and will not be included on the List of Programs with Available Positions that is posted for the use of unmatched applicants in the Post-Match Process. Any rankings or reversions that may have been submitted for the program will not be used in the MedPhys Match.
