| July, 2024 | Program Registration: Registration emails for participation in the Genetic Counseling Admissions (GC Admissions) Match are sent to Program Directors, who must complete the online registration process using the NMS Match System. |

By this date, a list of programs participating in the Match is available on this website. Applicant Registration: Match registration opens for applicants. Prior to registering, applicants should review the information in the Applicant Registration section of the Match website. Applicants must apply to programs independently of the Match. Application deadlines for programs vary; therefore, applicants should check with programs directly regarding their application requirements and deadline dates. |
| December 11, 2024 | By this date, a list of registered applicants is available in the NMS Match System for Program Directors to verify the Match Code Numbers of their applicants. The list will be updated as new applicants register for the Match. Applicants must be registered for the Match in order for their application to be considered by participating programs. |
| March 26, 2025 |
Rankings Open: Applicants and programs may begin to submit Rank Order Lists for the Match using the NMS Match System. |
| April 8, 2025 |
Rank Order List Deadline: Final date for submission of applicant and program Rank Order Lists. No Rank Order Lists, applicant or program registrations or withdrawals can be submitted in the NMS Match System after 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. |
| April 16, 2025 |
Match Results Day: The results of the Match are released to applicants and programs. No action to fill positions remaining unfilled after the Match is to be taken prior to 12:00 p.m. noon Eastern Time. Programs must send letters of confirmation to their matched applicants within 10 working days of the release of the results. Matched applicants must return the letter in accordance with the program's instructions within 17 working days of the release of the Match results, not later than May 9, 2025. |
| April 16 - May 31, 2025 | Post-Match Process: Following release of the Match results, unmatched applicants are permitted to seek positions and programs are permitted to fill positions that remain available independently of the Match. |
| May 31, 2025 | NMS Match System Closes: After this date, information regarding the results of the Match for applicants and programs , as well as lists of unfilled positions and unmatched applicants, will no longer be available. |
