  • When is the registration deadline?

It is recommended that you register to participate in the GC Admissions Match by December 13, 2023, although registrations will be accepted after that date. The final deadline to register to participate in the Match is April 9, 2024.

You must be registered for the Match in order for your applications to be considered by participating programs, to submit your Rank Order List, and to be ranked by programs. Programs require a significant amount of time to review applications, conduct interviews, and evaluate applicants. Most programs submit their Rank Order Lists for the Match well before the final deadline. Therefore, you should register well before the final date listed above.

  • Can I get a refund of my registration fee?

No. As stated in the Applicant Agreement and on the registration payment page, the applicant registration fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and irrevocable. It cannot be refunded, transferred to another person, or used for another year.

  • Do I need GRE scores to register for the Match?

No. GRE scores do not need to be provided in the NMS Match System at the time of registration.

If you are applying to a US-based program that requires the GRE, you must enter GRE scores into the NMS Match System before the Rank Order List deadline. If all the programs where you are applying have waived their GRE requirement, you do not need to enter scores into the NMS Match System.

  • How do I enter my GPA if my university GPA does not use a 4.0 scale?

The GPA you provide when you register is used by AGCPD/GCEA for statistical purposes. It is not shared with programs.

Many programs require international students to have their transcript evaluated by a transcript evaluation service such as World Education Services (WES). If you have gone through a transcript evaluation service, you should use the GPA derived from that process.

If the programs where you are applying do not require such a service, use the GPA conversion guidelines provided by your university. If your university does not provide any guidelines for converting your GPA to a 4.0 scale, you can enter in a value of 0.01 for Undergraduate GPA and that value will be excluded any statistical analysis conducted by AGCPD/GCEA.

  • What login credentials do I use?

Log into the NMS Match System using the email address and password you set up when registering for the Match. If you have changed your email or password in the NMS Match System since registering, use those new values to log in.

  • How can I find my Match Code Number?

Your Match Code Number is shown in the NMS Match System:

    • Log in to the NMS Match System
    • Select the Profile section on the Dashboard
    • Your Match Code Number will be found at the top of the page

Withdraw

  • What are the implications of withdrawing from the Match?

If you withdraw, you will not be matched to a position. Any rankings you may have submitted will not be used in the Match. You will also not receive further communication about participating in the Match from NMS. However, you will still have access to the List of Programs with Available Positions that is posted after the Match.

Applicants who withdraw from the Match will be displayed to programs within the NMS Match System as withdrawn.

Withdrawing from the Match does not affect your eligibility to participate in the Post-Match Process, or to participate in the Match in future years.
