Student Information
The List of Registered Students for the 2026 Match is closed. The List of Registered Students will be open for the 2027 Match in December, 2026.
Academic Programs are solely responsible for overseeing their registered students and ensuring they are informed of all applicable deadlines, requirements, and procedures. They must also ensure that students apply to, interview with, and rank sites that are suitable for their training.
Student registration in the Extern Match opens on December 1, 2025. Starting at that time, academic programs can monitor which of their students have registered for the Extern Match, the sites they have applied to, the interviews they have been invited to and scheduled, the tracks they have ranked, and their results in the Extern Match.

The list updates in real time as additional students register for the Extern Match. Students may register until January 23, 2026.
For each registered student, the following information is available to the academic program:
- Participation Status: All students from your academic program who register for the Extern Match are included in the list. Students who withdraw are marked as “Withdrawn.” Any questions about a student’s participation status should be directed to the student.
- Applications: Academic Programs can view all applications submitted by each student.
- Interviews: Academic Programs can see which sites have invited or scheduled the student for interviews. Only site-level invitations are shown; individual interview events are not displayed. Interviews scheduled outside the Extern Match Portal are not included.
- Rankings: Academic Programs can view the status and contents of each student's Rank Order List.
