Extern Match for Positions Beginning in 2026
The externship sites participating in the Extern Match are listed below. This directory is not updated in real time, but is refreshed daily to reflect changes in profile and participation information. Each site provides and maintains its own profile content and is responsible for its accuracy. Some sites may not complete every section of their profile, in which case certain filters or data fields will be blank and those sites may not appear when specific filters are applied. Review the Search Tips. If you have questions about a specific site's information, contact the site directly.
This list includes all sites that were active in the 2026 Extern Match. Information about positions available for 2026 will be posted in November 2026.
Filtering: Selecting multiple options within the same filter category will show results matching any of those options. Selecting options across different categories will show results matching all chosen criteria.
Search: The search checks site number, site name, overview, supervisor name, track labels, and city fields after filters are applied. Records are shown if they contain any of your search terms. Use quotes for exact phrases, and ! before a word to exclude it (e.g., "adult trauma" research !inpatient will return records containing either "adult trauma" or "research", but exclude any that mention "inpatient").
Favorites: Use the Favorites button to view and manage your saved programs. Favorites are stored locally in your browser and remain available unless you clear your cookies or cache. Export them if you wish to keep a backup.
