Registration Process

  • When is the registration deadline?

You should register for CASPR by September 13, 2024. You must be registered for CASPR in order to send applications to programs using the NMS Match System, and programs are given a default application deadline of October 30, 2024. Some programs may choose to extend their application deadline.

The final deadline to register to participate is February 17, 2025. However, most programs consider applications much earlier than that date. Therefore, you should register well before February 17, 2025.

  • Where do I obtain my CMS ID or APMLE ID?

Some applicants will have taken their APMLE Part I examination with a vendor named Prometric and will have a CMS ID associated with that score. Others may have taken the exam with APMLE's new testing vendor, Meazure Learning, and will have an APMLE ID associated with that score.

If you are uncertain of the correct ID to use for AACPM to obtain your examination scores, contact Meazure Learning.

Fees

  • What does it cost to participate in CASPR?

There is a fee of $600 USD to register for CASPR. This fee pays for your registration, credits to send applications to twelve (12) programs, and participation in both the Match and MPII, if necessary.

If you wish to send more than twelve applications, additional application credits can be purchased for $15 per application. Applicants who register for CASPR but do not obtain a position in the Match do not have to register again or pay an additional fee to participate in MPII.

The CASPR Applicant Registration Fee and application credit fees are non-refundable (even if you subsequently decide to withdraw from CASPR) and are not transferable to future years or other applicants.

  • Can I get a refund of my registration fee?

No. The CASPR Applicant Registration Fee is non-refundable (even if you subsequently decide to withdraw from CASPR) and not transferable to future years or other applicants.

Account & Login

  • What login credentials do I use?

Log into the NMS Match System using the email address and password you set up when registering for CASPR. If you have changed your email or password in the NMS Match System since registering, use those new values to log in.

  • How do I find my CASPR Code Number?

Your CASPR Code Number is shown in the NMS Match System:

    • Log in to the NMS Match System
    • Select the Profile section on the Dashboard
    • Your Code Number will be found at the top of the page

Withdraw

  • What are the implications of withdrawing from CASPR?

If you withdraw, you will not be matched to a position. Any rankings you may have submitted will not be used in the Match. You will also not receive further communication about participating in CASPR from NMS Match System. However, you will still have access to the List of Programs with Available Positions that is posted for the Post-Match Process.

Applicants who withdraw from CASPR will be displayed to programs within the NMS Match System as withdrawn.

Withdrawing from CASPR does not effect your eligibility to participate in the Post-Match Process, or to participate in CASPR in future years.
