The 2018 APPCN Match


How do I add a new program?

For residency sites not yet registered to participate in the Match:

  • Access the online registration system using the link provided in the registration e-mail sent to the Program Director by NMS, or Log In to the NMS Match System if you have already created an account in the NMS Match System
  • Select the Add New Program link at the bottom of the Residency Site and Program Information page
  • Enter the number of positions to be offered in the program and a program description
  • Select the Add button

For residency sites already registered to participate in the Match:

  • Log in to the NMS Match System
  • Select Account from the menu
  • Select the Add New Program button at the bottom of the page
  • Enter the number of positions to be offered in the program and a program description
  • Select the Add this Program button

Important Notices for Adding New Programs

  • The description of the new program must be unique and clearly distinguish that program from any other program offered by your residency
  • The description of your existing program(s) may also need to be altered to ensure they are distinct and descriptive of the program offering
  • Each new program must offer at least one position
  • The new program will be assigned a Code Number automatically by the NMS Match System

How do I update my residency, program, or contact information?

  • Log In to the NMS Match System to update your information
  • For residencies not yet registered to participate in the Match, your information can be changed on the Residency Site and Program Information page of the Match Registration process
  • For residencies already registered to participate in the Match, your information can be updated in the Profile and Account sections of the Dashboard

Can I withdraw from the Match or change the number of positions being offered after registering?

Yes, once registered you can log in to the NMS Match System to update the number of positions being offered in the Match, or withdraw a program from the Match if it is no longer offering any positions.


I'm not getting e-mails from NMS.

Contact NMS if you think NMS has sent you an e-mail that has not been received.

While NMS regularly communicates with most educational institutions in North America, there may be site specific IT policies that are preventing you from receiving e-mail from NMS. Please provide the Email Address and IP Whitelist to your IT department to ensure that NMS's emails are not being blocked.
